Backups:
To keep your account information secure, andOTP only stores it in encrypted data files. There are two encryption methods available: using the Android KeyStore or a Password / PIN.
The KeyStore is a system component of Android for securely storing cryptographic keys. While it offers advantages, such as hardware cryptography support, it may cause issues with third-party backup applications like Titanium Backup. In such cases, relying on internal backup functions provided by andOTP is necessary.
The KeyStore can present challenges; therefore, it is advisable to use it only when essential and with caution. Regular backups are recommended if this method is utilized. A password or PIN is always a recommended alternative.
Beta testing:
If you encounter a bug during beta testing, please provide feedback directly on Github (GitHub Repo Link) as notifications may not always be received via the Google Play Store.
Open source:
This app is entirely open source, licensed under the MIT license. The source code can be accessed on GitHub: GitHub Repository for andOTP app.
